Stander Reports
These are some of the standers who have called the Hartongs in the last year
or so with praise reports. Their names have been changed. Ann from Texas: My
husband came over to our home last week and asked me to remarry him. We have
been divorced almost 15 years and he has been living with his girlfriend. He
told me that she told him to "Go home to your wife." Caroline from
Ohio: My husband is calling me twice a day. Praise the Lord, I know he's coming
home. A pastor and wife from Ohio called to tell us their marriage was
wonderful. (They had come here for counseling about 10 years ago and we never
heard from them again.) They have moved to another state and have been marriage
counselors the last eight years. Doris from Kansas called to tell me that she
and her husband had been remarried after 10 years of divorce. Jerri from Calif:
Called to tell us she had remarried her husband and they had a new baby. She was
elated. It had been 10 years since we had heard from her. Milly from Oregon:
Husband gone 9 years, never divorced. Is coming home on weekends and taking her
out on a date every weekend. Terry from Calif: A double blessing. Terry said
she hadn't talked to me in 10 years, but recently she had remarried her husband
and her daughter had remarried her husband and had a new baby. She told me she
thought I would like to know that both marriages had been healed. Praise the
Lord. Glenda from Mich: We had known her for 20 years and she and her
"husband" were both in second marriages. He had died and when I saw
her she asked, "What do you think about me dating and marrying my first
husband?" I said, "He is your only husband. Go for it." They had
been divorced for 42 years and had not seen each other since then. But it was
"I have never stopped loving you" when they met again. They were
remarried Easter Sunday 2002 and are like young lovers. Millie from Mich: She
has been standing for 8 years and last year he asked if he could come home after
living with his girlfriend all that time. He's been home almost a year. A lady
from Las Vegas had not heard from her husband in 16 years. Out of the blue
(because of prayer) he called and asked if he could come home. Valerie from
Mich: She and her husband had been divorced for years and he had been married to
someone else for probably 10 years. She called to tell me she and her husband
had just remarried and their son was so happy. His wife had died in January and
Valerie called him to give him condolences on his wife's death. In February he
sent her money to come visit him and in March they were remarried. She says they
are very active in church and have a music ministry. Terry from Arkansas
called the other day to tell us how happy he and his wife are since they
reconciled a year ago. Sara from Oregon called to tell us that her husband had
asked if he could come home. They talk 2-3 times a day. Patti from Calif
called to tell us that since Dana led her to the Lord, she saw things
differently and she and her husband are getting along great and are not going to
divorce. Don from Florida: Called to ask what to do about his wife having
another man's baby while married to him. That's a tough one. Well, God says you
have to forgive. So he forgave and the last we heard from her (yes, she called us too)
they were doing great. Another couple asked us the same question. She had
indulged in fantasy about old boy friends and when one came to town she got
snared in satan's trap and became pregnant. Her husband had a terrible time
forgiving her, but he too forgave and he is absolutely crazy about this child. IF
ONLY I HAD WAITED A lady divorced her husband because he was abusive and she
KNEW he would never change. She married another man and now her
"abusive" husband got saved, is in church every Sunday singing in the
choir. If only she had waited!!!! THE ABSOLUTELY ABSURD Doris called with
the most absurd thing I have ever heard. Her husband (47) has been dating his
student (19) for several years. He has children older than his friend. Doris has
been dragging her feet about getting a divorce, so he bought a house and moved
his girlfriend in. HER MOTHER come to see Doris to beg her to speed up the
divorce because this is her daughter's first love and she wants her to be happy
and he really has become part of their family..... What about his wife and four
kids? Incredulous! THE DECEIVED ARE DECEIVED! |
